High Blood Pressure ? switch over to vegetarian food.

Are you a high blood pressure (BP) patient? Then switch over to vegetarian food, to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD). One should be choosy in diet selection to avoid CHD. For certain foods like non-vegetarians have direct or indirect impact on the blood pressure.

According to a study being conducted by the two scientists Mr.T.C.Raghuram and Ms. Kamalakrishnaswamy of the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN).

It was apparent that several elements in the vegetarian diet could be contributing to control blood pressure. Proteins from animal sources in general have higher cholesterol and fat content and hence consumption of proteins from vegetable sources should be encouraged they argued, in the recent 'Nutrition news'.
