Thus, who
are we to stand in His way to destroy His creations? The violation
of His order cannot go unpunished. Our great edicationist and
Patriot Pandit Madan Malavyaji used to say that
if a man has got no power to give ;ife, than, what right has he
got to take away the life of our innocent animal brethen?.
I have already
mentioned at the outest that animals are our nearest brethen-neighbours.
If our neighbour's house catches fire and if we do not extinguish
the flame, then, it is possible that we are also deemed to meet
with the same fate. to give another illlustration, if there are
a few poor passengers on a stream suffering from an infectious
disease and if the other passengers placed in more affluent circumstance
do not help and serve them, because of their arrogance and pride
there is then the possibility of the remaining passengers also
on the steamer to be affected and subjected to sufferings from
the same disease. Likewise, our animal brethern
and ourseelves are co-passengers in the boat of the same mundane
life. If they are fearful, we cannot then be fearfull,
we cannot then be fearless without making them also fearless.
The Divine
Law declares that the Universe os a body. The living beings of
different categories are different organs of the same body. If
there is pain on any organ of the same body. If there is pain
on any organ, the entire body becomes restless. Likewise, if human
beings wish to be happy and prosperous, they must not neglect
the welfare of their animal brethen. Hence rendering service to
the animal kingdom is neither gace nor obligation to them, but
it is condutive to their own safety and welfare.
It is an universal
truth that as we sow, so we reap. If we sow a margosa seed and
expect mango fruit, it is like expecting nector from the hood
of a venomous cobra. We can talk on many things vaguely in consequence
of our fantastic imagination and attitude
asserting that meat food is nutritious and good for health .
Hence we take liberty to destroy the happy lives of animals and
birds. But the days of frivolous talks based on conjectures are
gone for ever. We are now in the age of
science which is marching in rapid strides making us spell bound
by bringing in to lime light many unforeseen, unheard of
and incredible discoveries and inventions. Newton
had declared that action and reaction are equal and opposite.
The law of Causation or cause and effect governs the world of
science. These laws are considered to be imprtant discoveries
in the natural phenomena.
