An
appeal for mercy towards the dumb creatures is a voice for the
voiceless. The 'voiceless' are those who can not speal themselves.
They are none else than our nearest and dearest btryhtrn of the
animals kingdom. The law of providence has provided them with
a very poor capacity for expressing themselves. Hence,
man has a
golden opportunity and a
rare privilege to fullfil his bounden
duty and is entrusted with the responsibility to speal
for the protection of his brethern of lower cretion, who are being
deprived of their legimates
rights of freedom to live.
It is an eternal
and indisputable truth that there is nothing greater than service
in this world. If we make minute observations
and investigations on natural phenomena,
it will be evident as clear as crystal that the mighty Government
of nature is teleological. The most systematic and scientific
organization of this vast universe corroborates this hidden truth.
For the purpose of benevolence, nature and Her elements are working
indefatigably day and night so as to make all living beings of
the universe, peaceful and happy, prospoerous and contented, which
they are yearning from the very begining of their existence. The
heavenly bodies like the sun, the moon, the planets and the stars
moving in the blue sky and the earthly elements like water, fore,
earth, air and the like are made to co-operative in serving Nature
to fulfil her purpose of universal welfare. That is why philosophers
and seers had come to the conclusion that natural phenomenon is
casual and not casual. Thus, all livings beings on their way to
perfection must serve each other and that they should live in
confirmity with the Cosmic Law of Nature. Man
being gifted with the majestic power of the intellect and exceptionally
usefull organs and various amenties and facilities of life, ought
not to go against the mighty Cosmic Law. Man being a member of
the most advanced and evolved life among that creations has all
the responsibility to serve the lower creatures in order to co-operate
with the Cosmic Rute. If he neglects this primary duty,
he would be tired in the Cosmic Court of Law and in consequence
must meet with severe punishment for his crime.
Now let us
consider the issue in a logical manner from the philosophical
point of view. Generally the Hindus, Muslim
and Christians too believe in Almighty God, the Creator of the
world, who is the Mightest, the Wisest and the Noblest
responsible for bringing in to existence the entire creation,
and because He is the wisest He must have had the most sensible
motive full of Divine wisdom and Compassion.
