RAJMA

INGREDIENTS

Rajma
Garlic
Chillies
Ginger
Ghee
Onions
Chilli Powder
Tomatoes
Water
Sugar
Salt
Coriander Leaves

350 gms

1 teaspoon
450 gm
450 ml
2 teaspoons
to taste
2 tablespoons

METHOD

1. Soak the rajma's overnight.
2. Drain the beans and put enough water and boil the rajma until they are tender.
3. Grind garlic, chillies and ginger to a paste.
4. Melt the ghee, add grated onions and fry for 2 - 3 mnts and add the paste, chilli powder and fry for 2 mnts and add the cooked rajma.
5. Cut the tomatoes into quarter and add the water to it and boil for 5 mnts on simmer. Press through a sieve to give a tomato stock
6. Add the tomato stock to the beans with the sugar and salt, cook for a few mnts and sprinkle chopped coriander and serve hot.
