MAHAMASTAKABHISHEKA OF LORD BAHUBALI
The Nine Day Ceremony in Venoor
Venoor
, a village having population less than 1000 is attracted by crowds from
all over the country, not only Jains but people from other faiths also.
This is a glorious event held once in 12 years.This village is having
a recorded history since 1154 AD of which it was under the rule of Ajila
dynasty rule for 632 years.It was Thimmajila, King of Ajila Lineage
consecrated the Staue in 1604AD
Mahamastakabhisheka :- This is a ritualistic process of pouring holy water,
after clearing the statue of lord Mahabali with tender coconut water,
cane sugar juice, kashka choorna and sandalwood paste. The water and
other ingredients are poured on the statue as a part of clensing process.
This will also strengthen the statue

Karnataka Governor V.S. Ramadevi
inaugurated the Mahamastakabhisheka ceremony of lord Bahubali at Dakshina
Kannada district on Thursday. With her are CM Krishna, Union Minister
of State for Revenue V.Dhananjaya Kumar, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala
D.Veerendra Heggade, Swastishree Charukeerthi Panditaradhya Bhattaraka
Swamiji of Moodabidri and others.

session held by Swasti sree Lexminensa Bhattaraka Swamiji, Srinarasimhanagadde,
Narasimharajapura. The cheif guest were Srivarma Heggde, A patil
and K vasanth Bangera
