HASINA is one such victim of stalking who is today suffering for no fault of hers. After meeting her and her family on 27th feb.
2000, at her residence, a sort of sorrow has occupied my mind. Hasina's acid torn face and the darkness in her eyes is haunting me miserably as if I have undergone all the pain ! I wonder how could have her father,
mother and sister faced this agony from past 11 months? Their entire family's life is disrupted and are into heavy debts after that horrible day. On 20th April 1999, Hasina as usual was on her way to work at Satish
Enterprises on her way to the work place Joseph Rodrigues her Ex-employer stopped her and he seemed very angry with her. He just said "Inspite of warning not to work else where you are not listening to me so
whatever computer you saw at my company should be the last, you should not work on computers again "and coldly poured one litre of concentrated sulphuric acid on her face. As Hasina stumbled and fell Joseph had
ample time to pore the acid all over the body. |

Beautiful are those days of youth as they are filled with ambition, hope and dreams. Today stalking has
become a major social problem that is haunting our society. Disaster strikes from no where and destroys their dreams and all that remains later is pain, agony and sufferings. |

Later Hasina went work for Satish Enterprises as computer operator. Joseph was obsessed and he became very angry, to retaliate he
attacked her on her way to work. He committed a heinous crime just to Spite her. As the girl suffers and fights for life with grit determination to live & work on computers again, Joseph stays safe in the defence
custody and will be released may be after 10 years of imprisonment. In the mean while Hasina has undergone a lot of plastic surgery operations and is yet to undergo nose, lips, ear grafting as it has disintegrated and
fallen off. She has to undergo a very specialised eye operation in order to get her sight back. Dr. Indu Singh from Daljeet Singh Eye Hospital, Amritsar is specialised in these chemical burns operation. Hasina is
presently been treated at St. John's Hospital and doctors from St. John's have tried to contact Dr.Indu Singh. On 29-02-2000 Hasina under went another operation where her neck, shoulder, and her hand muscles were
released. She was discharged from the hospital 20-03-2000. All the operations are painfull and laborius.They are very expensive also. |
