ALMOND PAYASAM

INGREDIENTS

Almonds
Milk
Sugar
Cardomoms Crushed
Nutmeg Powder
Saffron
 

1 Cup
2 litres
1/2 Cup
4 No
1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon

METHOD

1. Soak the almondts in hot water for an hour. Skin and grind to a fine paste in a liquidiser (mixie).
2. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed vessel. Keep stirring till the milk reduces to half its quantity..
3. Add the almond paste, sugar, crushed cardomoms, nutmeg powder and saffron.
4. Simmer on a low heat for five minutes.
5. Serve chilled
